An incident just occurred today when a LASTMA personnel slapped a soldier who was disguised as a driver. The LASTMA on seeing the soldier driving on the BRT lane became annoyed and out of contention slapped the driver who happened to be a land soldier.
After the harsh retaliation, the LASTMA personnel was not moved to apologize even after the driver threatened to call his following troop. The soldier who was mishandled immediately called his following troop. The battle between the Army and LASTMA ensued there.
The driver was wrong to drive upon being stubborn to reverse. But the LASTMA brutality was worst. Will this end the harsh response of LASTMA on motor owners or make them more strict.
